【摘要】:Thisclassificationsystemcovershighlycrosslinkedthermoplasticvulcanizates(HCTPVs)forextrusion,moldingandotherfabricationmethods.HCTPVsarethermoplasticelastomers(TPEs)consistingoftwoormorepolymersystemsatleastoneofwhichisrubberyandhighly(95%)crosslinkedandatleastoneofwhichisthermoplastic,witheachsystemhavingitsownphase.Thethermoplasticphasewilltendtobecontinuousandtherubberyphasediscontinuous.Thehighlevelofcrosslinkingandultrafineparticlesize(ca1?mdiameter)oftherubberyphasegiverisetopropertiesmorecloselyapproachingthoseofconventionalthermosetrubber,whencomparedtothesamethermoplastic/rubberypolymercompositionwithalowerlevel(95%)ofcrosslinking.TheHCTPVpolymercompositionsmaycontainfillers,reinforcingagents,plasticizers,resins,antidegradants,colorantsandotherbeneficialconstituents.RecycledHCTPVsarenotcoveredinthisclassificationsystem.Includedinthisclassificationsystemarethepropertiesnecessarytoidentifytherespectivecompositions.Forspecializedapplications,otherrequirementsmaybeneededtoidentifyspecificcharacteristics.AsgiveninIEEE/ASTMSI-10,valuesinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Note1-ThereisnoequivalentISOstandard.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section12,ofthisclassificationsystem.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
